Screen Reader and Technologies

A screen reader is a type of computer software that reads the content on a computer screen aloud. Screen readers are used by people with vision problems (e.g., blindness, vision impairment, etc.) or by individuals who can process voice better than visual information.

We currently focus on the NVDA screen reader on Windows 10 or Windows 11. NVDA is a Windows-based free open source screen reader developed by NVAccess. NVDA is funded by grants and donations.
